Further East is Groton, the home of the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear submarine, launched in 1954. She and her crew were the first ones to sail the actual North Trellis. Audio guided tours can be used for free aboard the sub. She is the only nuclear submarine on display in the earth. Groton is also the home of your Coast Guard Academy.

Apartment number one had a door off of the living room and a main door that opened into the dining cabin. All three had doors and windows facing a center court and lawn. A long hallway connected the apartments upstairs. We chose head the doors upstairs unlocked so people could freely access any apartment from anywhere inside your building.

Often I wrote in the journal at desk church bell on the living spare space. There was plenty of light from a window facing the courtyard and a young desk lamp illuminated my pages. The chair was comfortable along with the desk was sturdy and nicely launched.

If we were home early enough we ate on the terrace, which was a wonderful place to meet, eat, and interact. Personally, I enjoyed the view from my bedroom window and really enjoyed residing at Pastine reading, relaxing, writing, and napping, while all others went sight-seeing.
